Many women won't give the guy a second change. Lets think about it - if a girl didn't have a good time on the first date, why would she go out with you again? Why would she want you? A better practice is to realize that the woman isn't have a great time on a date for whatever reasons and make appropriate adjustments or spark things up somehow during that first date.
