This worked when not hearing back from the only person you met that month (or that year) increased intrigue and anticipation. However, in the age of endless swiping and low effort, delays in communication are known to get things fizzle out quickly where one or both sides simply move on to talk to other people in their “pipeline”. Today everyone super busy scheduling and traveling, you really don’t want to make getting in touch with each other even harder than it already is.
2.Posting sexy pictures with the members of the opposite sex.
Posting pictures where you can be seen socializing with attractive members of the opposite sex at a club or a pool party might have increased your social value in the early 2000’s. Now, it gives the other side that smallest doubt about you that they need in order to move on and away from talking to you. This especially applies to men who post pictures with groups of provocative looking women.
3. Double-texting / calling repeatedly.
This type of persistence might have been considered a romantic behavior and even part of courtship in the past. However, today even a single double text will result in an instant ick, especially from the women’s perspective, and it is hardly ever a good move on the men’s part.
